Talbot House is a beautiful refurbished Victorian house located in the heart of Oxton. The house is divided into fully self contained and furnished flats with their own lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The property has established gardens, a communal lounge and laundry facilities.
Talbot House is staffed 24hrs a day and is supported by additional on call support.
Talbot House has 24 hour – security monitoring – access to staff – maintenance call out facility, plus we also provide a 24hr call-out facility for tenants if they are having a problem away from their accommodation along with support for medical and other appointments. In General We ensure that we provide appropriate support by operating an on-call system to all our properties, anytime of the day and night. This can be used either to provide back-up staffing or help out if a tenant is having a problem giving peace of mind 24 hours a day.
We invest considerably in staff training and development through a range of in house training as well as externally run courses and conferences. Our Staff are our most important asset and training and good quality support and management is our primary means of ensuring excellence.
We place particular importance on Person Centred planning and working to the learning disability awards framework.
